Ogreberry in the Dirt

Ogreberry Super Terp TaprootI recently placed the Ogreberry sprouted seeds in the dirt yesterday. I’m doing something a little different this time around. I layered my soil somewhat, not sure if it will make any difference, but thought it was something different to try. I placed them in 3 gallon fabric pots. The bottom layer, maybe 45%, is my super soil mix, which has a bunch of amendments, compost, etc. The typical soil build stuff. The next layer, another 45% or so, is Happy Frog mixed with some earthworm castings and some additional perlite. That final 10% layer is coco coir. I know coco dries out faster, and since I typically have to deal with gnats, I thought that might help…we’ll see how everything turns out.

For now, I await for them to pop-up. Usually within 36-48 hours under the light, I should start to see the seedling breaking ground…keeping my fingers crossed for that tomorrow.

Thanks again to Twenty20 Mendocino for including me in the Ogreberry Chronicles grow journey.
